RETAINERS- A retainer is required to hold any session. Retainers must be paid within 2 DAYS of receipt of invoice, unless prior arrangements are made. It is extremely difficult to keep up on and message regarding overdue retainers. Retainers are non refundable as they block out my schedule for your session. If you need to reschedule a studio session, please provide 24 hours notice and the retainer will apply to ONE rescheduled session. OUTDOOR session retainers are not able to be used towards a future session if the client cancels the session due to very limited availability. If weather causes us to cancel a session, the retainer will apply to the rescheduled session. Santa , Easter Bunny , live bunny, and any other specified session retainers are non refundable and can't be rescheduled due to the nature of the event. Therefore, if you leave a deposit for any of these sessions, the retainer CAN'T be applied to any other future session if you cancel.
AT YOUR SESSION- Especially with younger children- please bring the LEAST number of people possible to the session. Kids are easily distracted and the more people , the more distractions. One or two adults is plenty for a child's session; Any more than that and the baby or child can get distracted or even frustrated and it can really hinder a session.

CAKE SMASH SESSIONS
What to bring :
Cake- I don't provide the cake due to any possible allergies
Drink- Your baby will most likely get thirsty and need something to wash down their cake
Wipes
Snacks- Sounds crazy, but bring puffs or something they like as a snack. Sometimes they aren't sure of the cake, and hiding some puffs or something else they like on the cake helps them dig in
Their Favorite Toy or be ready to sing their favorite songs!
Please wear casual clothing - it may get cake on it from the birthday baby

OUTDOOR SESSIONS &FLEXIBILITY- Outdoor sessions are controlled by Mother Nature and she can be unpredictable regardless of what the forecast says. Outdoor sessions can not be rescheduled based on prior day's forecast. Sessions are rescheduled for weather the day of the session, not prior to the date of the session. If your session must be rescheduled for weather, you must be flexible in rescheduling. There is no guarantee that the next available date will be the same day of the week. If weather forces us to reschedule, your retainer applies to the rescheduled session. OUTDOOR session retainers are not able to be used towards a future session if the client cancels the session due to very limited availability. I only do outdoor sessions at specific times and dates, so please give a call , message, or text to confirm availability.

NEWBORN SESSIONS-Please bring EXTRA formula or pumped breast milk, extra receiving blankets, and extra binkies. If a bottle has been introduced, bottle feeding for a newborn session leaves a lot more time to take pictures and less time for feedings. Bottle feeding is encouraged for the session only if the bottle has been introduced.
Please have the baby dressed in something easily removed , with a zipper if possible, to disrupt them the least upon arrival.
If sibling young children are going to be included in the session, please be aware the session is usually 3 hours . I always suggest having dad or someone else make plans to take the kids after they get their pictures done with the new baby. This allows time to focus on the new baby completely without interruptions. We can't expect toddlers to sit quiet for hours , and trying to will greatly impact the newborn session.

COOPERATION-I always advise to have snacks and a drink available for your child if they need a little break or bribe lol. I also suggest having your phone fully charged ready to play their favorite song or show. You may even want to bring one of their favorite toys. I always allow a little time to warm up in the beginning of a session so the child feels comfortable. But sometimes they need a little more coaxing and that's where the snacks or songs come in handy. This has not happened as of yet, but should your child not cooperate for the session and believe me sometimes I almost stand on my head for smiles lol, I am not responsible. I can't guarantee your child will smile, but I never had a session that ended without adorable images, smile or no smile. VERY IMPORTANT- With toddlers, it is important to bring the least amount of people to the session. The more people, the more distraction. I also advise to not bring along any young children who are not in the session as it distracts the children in the pictures.

PAYMENT- Final payment is due AT the session or PRIOR to the session. Images will not be edited or retained if final payment is not made at the session. I accept cash, check or credit cards through my invoicing system. I do not have the ability to accept Venmo or other sources.

DOWNLOADING AND PRINTING- Professional prints are available for purchase through your online gallery at an additional cost. I also provide a print release with all sessions so that clients can print where they wish. I can't assist with client computer and technical issues. When you receive your gallery you will have the ability to download your images. Always download to a COMPUTER to ensure you are saving the original file which can be printed at high quality. I always suggest also saving the images on a back up drive in case your computer crashes. You can download images to a cell phone, but PLEASE DON'T print images from the cell phone downloads , it will effect print quality. If your downloads are in a ZIP file on your computer , you MUST unzip them before trying to print them. I have been using this gallery hosting and delivery for many years and the process is very easy and reliable. If you are having issues with downloads or printing, it is most likely not an issue with the gallery delivered.
PRINT RELEASE- All sessions come with a print release. This allows a client to print images at their preferred print source. A print release is not a copyright. Mountaintop Photography owns all images. Clients do not have permission to edit , alter , filter etc. images in any way. Clients can print cards, prints, photo gifts, etc. out of images and share images on social media. Mountaintop Photography images MAY NOT be used in any commercial ads without permission.
EXTRA IMAGES- Every Session includes a specified number of fully edited images. If you know you will want more images than what is included in the session, please let me know in advance, so I can plan for those additional images. I do not provide unedited images to clients at all.

BOOKING WITH A GIFT CERTIFICATE- Prices subject to change from the purchase date of the Gift Certificate. If your gift certificate covers your entire session no retainer is required. However, cancelling a session without providing 24 hours notice will reduce the gift certificate by a session fee of 50$.
